About US State Fees

US State Fees is a small independent reference for people dealing with state paperwork in the United States: forming a business, renewing a registration, or ordering a certified record. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with any agency named here.

How we get the numbers

1. We open the state agency's own page or form (for example the Secretary of State's filing instructions).
2. We copy the fee sentence exactly as written and keep that quote on the page, so you can compare it with the source yourself.
3. We record the address of the page and the date we read it. Both are shown on every page.
4. If the official page does not state an amount, we do not publish one. We never estimate a fee.
5. When a fee differs by county, we say that and give only the range the state publishes.

What we do not do

• We do not file documents for you, sell registered agent services, or take payments.
• We do not give legal or tax advice. For decisions that matter, confirm with the agency on the linked page or a licensed professional.
